Eight Dimensions of a Vision
I trust that through this lesson you will become more effective and will be able to feel the life force of Jesus Christ flowing through your life in a new dimension.
Too many leaders in today’s society are satisfied with much less than God has promised. This is mainly because ministry is spelled wrong – it should be spelled w-o-r-k.
It takes discipline and right actions to build a growing, thriving church and believe it or not, it takes risk. You have to learn to risk everything on the truth that God is going to confirm your calling and use you for His kingdom. Not because you are worthy, but because you are available. Vision and Purpose
Chances are that at the end of your life you will die in bed, waiting. “People are appointed to die once, and then to face judgment” (Heb 9:27). Imagine you there, lying in bed (above) and reflecting. Reading back through the chapters of you life story.
What did my life add up to?
Did I really matter?
What did I live for?
What legacy did I leave?
Who will remember me?

The Heavenly Vision

God’s Vision for Paul
God’s vision for Paul was revealed to a disciple named Ananias in Acts 9:15, “…for he is a chosen vessel unto me, to bear my name before the Gentiles…”
Paul explained to King Agrippa what Jesus had said to him on the road to Damascus: “But rise, and stand upon thy feet: for I have appeared unto thee for this purpose…and from the Gentiles, unto whom now I send thee, to open their eyes, and to turn them from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan unto God…” (Acts 26:16-18) Read more
Dreaming Dreams, Seeing Visions
“And your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, and your young men shall see visions, and your old men shall dream dreams” (Acts 2:17).
Helen Keller was a woman suffering from being both blind and deaf. She overcame these handicaps and raised money for the blind through the sale of her books and lectures. She was once asked, “What is worse than being blind?” She quickly responded, “Having sight but not being able to see.”
As Peter, on the Day of Pentecost repeated the Old Testament prophecy concerning the visitation of God’s Spirit upon all flesh, he reiterated that young men shall see visions, and old men shall dream dreams. The Wise Man in the Book of Proverbs 29:18 wrote, “Where there is no vision, the people perish.” Read more
Transferring Vision
There are many leadership principles, but I believe transferring vision is one of the most important. Briefly stating the mechanics of this principle, we will use four laws.
1. See the Vision
The leader must know where he is going. He must understand what he wants for the future. The direction the work or church is to go must be thought through and understood so he can explain it well to those he leads.
2. Sell the People on the Vision
For the leader’s vision to be fulfilled the people must buy into it. The leader must take the people with him. The vision must be transferred from the leader to the people. When it is transferred the vision no longer belongs only to the leader, but it becomes the people’s vision as well. Take the time to transfer. Read more
